The Drive
Once again, high pressure was found over much of the Plains. We elected to drive a bit farther north to Dumas, Texas to position for the next day. There was potential for a storm to develop off the Raton Mesa, so we got into position for it. On the way, we visited Caprock Canyon State Park and then had a late lunch/early dinner at the Big Texan Steak Ranch.
