Aurora account
The Night
A modestly southward Bz was enough to get me to go out and take a look at auroras. I may have been out grooming the trails, so I was already out at this location. I walked up the main ski run and looked to the north to see the characteristic auroral glow just above the clouds, which were obscuring any auroras right at the horizon. The auroral arc barely cleared the clouds, but with time, the clouds expanded, or the arc retreated, and I could no longer see green. I returned home just after midnight.
