Bob Conzemius is a Ph.D. meteorologist working in the wind energy industry, specializing in the interaction between the atmosphere and operating wind farms. He has been storm chasing for over 20 years — a hobby that eventually led him to the University of Oklahoma (2000–2004) to pursue doctoral studies in atmospheric science.
Since settling in northern Minnesota in 2005, Bob has discovered a second passion: aurora chasing. Situated near the auroral oval, northern Minnesota offers some of the most spectacular northern lights in the continental United States.
